I set this board aside for a little while. While I wasn't looking, nearly two years passed!
Anyway, it wasn't the SMD caps, thankfully. Turns out those are just decoupling doo-dads anyway. Instead, a trace exploded directly under the ferrite bead right next to the caps. Boy howdy that was a fun one.
Does the board work now? Of course not! It reboots when it usually initializes the keyboard, so there's still some fuckery afoot. Boo.

It took about 6 months in total to track everything down, but this is the final missing game in the series! Just finished uploading all the files, and the missing manual for Wizard of Words.
