The #capitlist class are experts at doing mass layoffs. They do them regularly. These mass layoffs are reported in the press as "normal" and usually are praised by the capitalist press. CEOs are praised for being "tough" and exhibiting "strong leadership" when they fire thousand s of workers. The "street" loves it too as stock prices usually go up.
This is the mind-set on display in DC today as the capitalist class whips the government into shape and brings "discipline."
It's a false dream.
