The CPC Convention begins today. I figure Poilievre will get 85% or more at his leadership review. We saw last election that by truly appealing to the CPC base, he was able to expand, rather than contract, the overall vote share that the CPC obtained (even though he lost). The CBC looks at this.

The lesson for the NDP might be to do likewise and get a leader who truly appeals to the left wing base, rather than fudgily trying to expand the "table" (or "tent", or whatever other simile that the Topps of the party espouse).
