Good to see the NDP in second with 18.9% of the vote in one of the by-elections last night.
The polarization between the Bloc and Liberals in Terrebonne is pretty stunning but at least there was a clear winner this time! The CPC got just 3% and the other three barely added up to 1% there!
The Toronto ridings were at least a little more spread out, but both remain solid Liberal seats with more than 60% of the vote.
I don’t like how the Liberals gained their majority, a first in Canadian history… but that’s the hand we are dealt. Time to work at it.
Since @avilewis and @emilylowan are the first Canadian federal and provincial party leaders respectively to be on the #Fediverse, I wonder if they will have an outsized influence on this place until other parties inevitably join. 🤔
