I think Bubsy 3D would be much easier to control if it handled more like Syphon Filter. Both games were made by the same team and the only real difference between their control styles is Syphon Filter's analog turning and constant movement speed. Bubsy has a run button, in comparison.
Granted, Syphon Filter is a military shooty bang bang game while Bubsy 3D is a platformer, but one of the latter's biggest issues (in my opinion) is the overly slow turning that still manages to be wildly inaccurate. While full analog control would be the best solution, even applying it to left and right movement alone would be a huge improvement.

The Purrfect Collection tried to add full analog control with it's "refurbished" edition, and I think it would have worked if not for the camera still moving along the Y axis when you jump. The original game tilted the camera down to help you stick the landing, which was annoying, but functional. When you remove that feature but keep the vertical movement, the ground vanishes from view while you're trying to land on it. I think refurbished could have been great if not for that and the myriad of other bugs still present, because Limited Run Games sucks and likely rushed the devs to get the collection out with their stupid, closed source emulator.

Picked up some early birthmas presents for meself.

Never played Puggsy back in my day, but I've been after him ever since I started following Jon Burton's YouTube channel. Go check him out if you love the old Traveller's Tales.

The history of these LOTR titles is wild and petty and I love it. Electronic Arse had the rights to adapt the Peter Jackson movies BUT Sierra still held the rights to adapt Tolkien's written works and beat EA to the punch with a Fellowship of the Ring game, technically based on the book, that just happened to coincide with the movie.
When Two Towers came out in cinemas, EA actually did do the official game of the film, leaving Sierra to follow up *their* version of Fellowship with a game based on The Hobbit, a decade before it would become a film!

Oh, and Bubsy 3D, one of the video games of all time. What a find. It was right next to Grandia.

from what I've see, it's utter crap, and possibly even worse than #Bubsy3D...
It looked like a total cash-grab...

And I actually liked #Bubsy for the #SNES. I sucked at it, but I still thought it was cute and charming.
