Jason van GumsterBecause @thaj requested it during the last LinuxLUGcast, here are a couple work in progress shots of my latest project: a board bow! I've gotten it roughed and I'm starting to put on a fiberglass backing. Once that's dry, I should be able to start tillering.

David de Groot 𓆉Testing the bow today. Draw weight is approx 26-28lb.
Made a temporary string from synthetic butchers twine while I wait for the dacron to arrive which seems to work fine.
Bow length is approx 6ft 2in.
The arrow is still awaiting feathers to fletch it with so I’m only trying from about 5m.
The store did however penetrate all the way through 4 layers of heavy cardboard loosely held together.
