@alex and I have started working on our first project for the summer: the Eagle Nebula. With less than three hours of imaging time, we captured the iconic "Pillars of Creation" from our balcony in NYC.
I look forward to working on the final image once we gather more data.
These images of the Dumbbell Nebula (M27) are some of our best work to date. Also, this project marks our first attempt at imaging a planetary nebula.

We're forever trying to recreate the moonrise sequence from Koyaanisqatsi.
Tonight, we *finally* have clear skies, so we're scoping out new targets! Also, the view from Queens is spectacular.
I spent the afternoon stacking our images of the North America Nebula's Cygnus Wall (NGC 7000) from the past two nights. These photographs are unstretched (the second image was viewed using SIRIL's histogram function), but they highlight the limitations of our equipment and the challenges of NYC's light pollution levels.

Fortunately, tonight's sky is clear, so @anackenoff and I are photographing the Whirlpool Galaxy (M51).

Naive going for a broadband target after success on #M42, not realizing how much my UHC filter was saving the day.
Also this Canon 1100D's dark bars bug is on its way out-- going to swap for an entry level cooled cam - ASI294MC Pro clone.
Still love the tight stars from autoguiding! Anyone have success with #Pleiades from a #bortle9? #astrophotography
