Quite an average Gold Coast pelagic-trip last weekend but did manage to see this handsome little Wilson's Storm-Petrel.

Walsdorf Creek yesterday to see if the reserve’s Powerful Owl was in residence - it was along with a very deceased brush-tailed possum. This is a very efficient large killing machine.

Exiting the reserve a swoosh of air flew over me, a Southern Boobook owl being chased by several territorial birbs. It roosted on a nearby tree close enough for me to get some shots. This is a small efficient killing machine.
