Love this little detail on the gates to the St Nicholas gardens on Castle Street in Glasgow. It's one of the four symbols from the Glasgow coat of arms which have been incorporated into the design.

I'd never noticed the Glasgow emblems of the the bird, the fish, the bell and the tree cast into the base of the lamp posts outside Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum before. It's a really nice extra design touch.

I love the boat prows that decorate so many of Glasgow's older buildings, but this one is particulalry good.

It's also the only one I've seen containing three of the four symbols of Glasgow (I'm sure there must be a bell in there somewhere as well, but I just can't find it!).
