my first bartop now has a little sibling, 7cm narrower, 6 buttons instead of 8, a full width marquee, and a better cable management for the joystick panel

applied some mat painting, added a few stickers but not too many as there will be a "sticker party" to outsource that part of the decoration 😉
still undecided about painting the joystick/buttons planks in dark mat too
hey fedi hivemind, should I keep those panels white or should I paint them in black?
improvised a more serious vesa mount, added plastic edges that feel like rubber, squirted hot glue everywhere I could, and added a warning notice taken from an old elevator
the result is way too clean though, I'll add more dirt, torn stickers, rust stains and erosion traces to remove any doubt about the rat's style of the furniture 😉
made a marquee by pasting stuff from the interwebs, couldn't figure out the right print settings though 🤷
That greasy box of empanadas just started its second life as a chassis for the Pi4B.
The raspbery sticker didn't age well though, it needed an update 😉
@crussel Good for you ! Mine began with #insomnia (as they all do), lullabied by #StarTrekDS9 , littered with a bunch of chores (inc. massive #kimchi 🇰🇷 preparation for the family, tasty but very manual stuff) and some interesting tech things to brainstorm, the next one being finishing the configuration of a lighttpd server for dev purposes
I am otherwise excited and inspired by @tobozo 's ongoing success at building his first #arcade #bartop 🥳
dressing up the display 🩲
found a small neon for the marquee, not sure it's working but will find out soon 👀
thanks to @tipiak75 for suggesting a buttons reorder
