Ok, so mayhaps spending yesterday doing hard manual labor in 90+ heat with no forward planning was a mistake. I should have stretched or something. Periodically I run into this problem where I think I’m a 25 year old marathoner, and my body would like to register the 35 years I’m pretending didn’t happen.

And while failure of the mortal coil will not stop me, it has slowed me down a bit, in that I think I will not be attempting the rototiller today, mostly because I’m moving like I just escaped full traction.

I may leave the gardens to the devices of the critters today, and instead make some bread and try to finish a painting on the easel. (To be fair, the squirrels and possums have been busy, there are many new trees, most of them where they shouldn’t be. I want to save all the red oaks and pecans, so I’ve got a lot of digging to do.)
