My neighbor and I had a long talk about food insecurity with whatever is coming our way (something wicked this way comes). She and I are going to do some exploration of our shared forest, and I'm looking into what is needed to start up the nearby community garden again (I'm hoping to establish a permaculture-based food forest centered around an established apple tree). I'm also going to see if the local library would host a seed-bank, since I have a lot to share...
