Tends to make them realize a few things AND helps guide me through the technique, because... that's where it came from, duh.

For the record, #ukemi is NOT just "rolling" or "break falls".

Ukemi is the art of self-preservation.

Ukemi encompasses ALL actions meant to shield yourself from physical damage. We roll and break falls to mitigate potential harm to our bodies. But it also entails a hand covering your face, shifting your stance, or dodging an #atemi

- Select an attacker, yes, ONE. Capture their attention, then neutralize their kazuchi (intention/motion/stance). Usually that means an #atemi (strike that grabs their attention, forcing them to defend/protect themselves) to face. You don't need to HIT them, just make them think you will.
- Once you neutralize their attack, either get BEHIND them, or throw them in front of the next TWO attackers jumping you.
- Go for the attacker fumbling around them.
- Rinse, repeat

Because how human body is configured and how techniques based on that work, you have about 100-120 degrees and some 2-3ft (#atemi - and the fear thereof - counts) in front of you which gets your attention AND effective use of limbs.

That means it applies to ATTACKERS, as well.

Blahblah; effectively, only 3 attackers can "touch" you, at once, and you can exert SOME form of effect onto at most 2 of them.
