It was comforting to note that improved healthcare was one of the positive things coming out of AI, which should include the use of AI for accessibility and assistive technology.

This is me this morning as I broke though the AM fog and worked with my Alexa to set up a routine to remind me to research assistive technology.

Given my name I understand where the confusion comes from though for people with speech impediments working with the voice recognition of AI digital assistants can be frustrating hence the need for alternative input methods such as a computer interface or eye control technology for those with impaired mobility.

The need for accessing these alternative means of inputing commands or making corrections should be taken into account when designing AI ditial assistants.

And yes, I get the irony of creating AI slop art to point out an issue with AI digital assistants 😉

Enjoy your Monday coffee ~ Jim

As the photo nicely shows, they include #Braille on roads as an #assitivetechnology for #automobiles to detect with ease and inform drivers when they attempt to turn into a side-street.
