Unlocking Creativity: Neisha’s Milan Art Institute Journey
Awakening the Artist Within
Have you ever felt a creative calling stirring within you, yet struggled to bring it to life? That’s exactly where I found myself before discovering the Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute.
From Inspiration to Execution
While passion and love for art fueled my ambition, I lacked the technical foundation to fully realize my vision. Through this transformative program, I’m now bridging the gap between inspiration and execution. My work has evolved. Each brushstroke is more intentional. Every composition is more purposeful. Each color choice more deliberate in supporting my creative voice.
A Glimpse Into My Artistic Growth Through the Mastery Program
This flamingo duo is an illustration of my growth after the ninth week in Milan Art Institute mastery program.
Before:
Bold beginnings In ink and color.
This piece shows a time when my passion was stronger than my technical skill. But, the wish to create was fully alive.
After:
Impressionism style in oil paint on canvas.
This piece emerged after deepening my knowledge of directional marks, color mixing, and experimenting with new medium. It’s softer, more refined, and shows a greater level of skill.
Exploring Style and Finding My Voice
The program has opened up new artistic horizons. I’m experimenting with diverse techniques and styles, discovering what authentically reflects my unique artistic voice. This journey is one of self-discovery—learning not only how to paint but why I create the way I do.
I took the DISC Assessment to find out my temperament and why I lay down paint the way I do. I came out as a blend of the C (Compliant) and S (Steady).
This temperament blend really shows how I am as a painter and also in life. I remember my mom telling me as a child I always have been cautious and careful.—that’s the C temperament. As a painter I find myself taking my time to refine technique and paying close attention to detail. I love having a process to flow systematically towards excellence. I enjoy research, study, and knowing why and how things work.
I’m also an S temperament, slow, steady, sincere, and sensitive. I am loyal to my vision and true to my integrity. I care about people and I create for the viewer. I also am super supportive of other artists and grateful of opportunities to collaborate. I value diversity, freedom and harmony.
Understanding my temperament is helping in the development of my unique artistic style while honoring my authenticity.
As an artist I am structured and soulful. My brushstrokes are expressive, guided by a quiet inner logic. I blend intuition with technique, order with emotion, and passion with patience.
Art That Speaks to the Heart
When a piece of art resonates with someone, it stirs something within—memories, longings, emotions that go beyond language. Art bypasses the mind and speaks directly to the heart. That’s why I strive to create from a place of authenticity and vulnerability.
When I’m fully engaged with my work, the canvas becomes a mirror. It invites viewers to see themselves more clearly, feel more deeply, and connect with their own journey.
“Radiance of the Tides” Seascape Oil Painting on Canvas by Neisha LandersCreating Beauty, Igniting Spirit
My ultimate goal is to create beauty that sparks a sense of wonder and meaning to the viewer. I want my art to feel personal to you. When a piece stirs your soul and ignites your spirit, I know I’ve succeeded.
Final Thoughts: A Journey Worth Taking
Art is more than a visual craft—it’s a journey of self-expression, identity, and connection. If you feel called to create something meaningful, I wholeheartedly recommend the Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute. It just helps you unlock the artist you were always meant to be.

What Happens When a Plate Shatters and Its Artistic Pieces Go Free?
FRAGMENTED: Turning Broken Plates Into Art
Rob Strati’s “Fragmented” series shows how something broken can become something beautiful. It all started with a plate that belonged to his wife’s late mother, Barbara. One day, the plate fell and shattered into pieces. Instead of throwing it away, Strati saw an opportunity to create art.

Rob explains it best:
“This work was inspired by a plate from my wife’s late mother, Barbara. One day it was dropped and shattered. Some time after, I picked up a pen and started working on the ‘Fragmented’ series, exploring the possibilities of things broken and the stories that can evolve from them.”
Using the shapes of the broken plate, Strati created intricate pen drawings. Each piece became part of a new story, showing how beauty can grow from something unexpected.

Finding Beauty in Broken Things
Strati’s work reminds us that imperfections can be powerful. His art is similar to kintsugi, a Japanese tradition of fixing broken pottery with gold to celebrate its cracks. Instead of hiding the damage, Strati’s series lets the broken pieces inspire something fresh and creative.
