EDIT: Looks like it's dead.

Mod resignation from the Artemis project - Artemis App - kbin.social

Advisory:...

Whatever happened to #ArtemisApp ?
Welp, finally (permanently) uninstalled #artemis #artemisapp. Just too flaky. Lightyears away from prime time.

@kevin and I hereby resign from the Artemis project, due to an extended radio silence from @hariette regarding the app and instance:

https://kbin.social/m/ArtemisApp/t/670557/

We do not condone any harassment towards anybody involved with the project, as nobody knows the true extent behind the actions (or lack thereof) of anyone. We've all our own lives going on.

It was fun for a while, but it's time to move on. See you all somewhere else!

Advisory:...

Welp #artemis #ArtemisApp, you get until COB Friday to work properly before I uninstall you. Ain’t nobody got time for dis.
#artemis #artemisapp is just throwing a blank screen when I start it up - no options to logout and back in, or anything apart from uninstalling really. Anyone else with the same issue?

Regarding:
"do you know if there's a phone app for it yet? I messed around with it back in the Spring but I primarily used reddit on my phone so I haven't really gone back"

I haven't tried it myself yet, but I've seen people talk about:

Artemis
https://kbin.social/m/ArtemisApp

There is also something called:

Tundra for Kbin
https://kbin.social/m/Tundra/t/396839/Tundra-for-Kbin

I don't know anything about it though.

There might be other Kbin apps, too.

Please boost/repost for reach!

I’ve come across some cool
#Fediverse projects. I personally would love to know what else is out there but I imagine many of you would as well.
Please share any
#Fedi projects that you are working on and or know of.
I’ve seen an
#Etsy like project, #Pinterest alternative
#Goldfish which seemed like a #Tiktok like project
I’ve come across awesome client apps like
https://statuzer.com/
I can’t get enough of
#Beanapp for #Lemmy and #Artemisapp for #Kbin
#Friendica beta client #Relatica #Mastodon #Fediverse #Firefish #Calckey #Misskey #iOS #buildinpublic #devs #AndroidOS

some #kbin / #lemmy / #threadiverse notes, from about a day of clicking around, in no particular order:

  • i set up on @hariette's kbin instance https://artemis.camp, because yay modern #php, and also that instance is the flagship for a kbin app so maybe it'll be around a while.
  • i started at @dansup's https://fedidb.org/software to find the biggest instances for both platforms, figuring they'll probably be the most federated. i did most of my subreddit searching from lemmy.world and kbin.social (including federated instances in my searches).
  • https://sub.rehab/ would have saved me a bunch of time probably, thank you @megsmagik for pointing me to https://github.com/dbeley/awesome-lemmy.
  • the kbin web ui doesn't let you expand/collapse threads with text, or comment trees. it'll sometimes let you expand/collapse images. i didn't realize how much i use that functionality in #RES until now.
  • the lemmy web ui is less cute but it has those features.
  • the duplicate subreddit problem is generally unsolved.
  • there's some weird jank in the kbin web ui where you can't click directly from a federated thread that shows up on your front page to the whatever the destination link is. you have to go to the thread on the source instance first, and then you can click through. it's possible i'm doing something wrong here.
  • again, lemmy seems to give you access to both of those things (source instance and destination link) directly.
  • there's a cloud of weird drama around the developers for both kbin and lemmy, no winners there. fedi gonna fedi.
  • #artemisApp is real nice.
  • there's a video of @Granite posting a new lemmy thread directly from mastodon. i tried it from a couple instances and couldn't make it work.

it's possible this should have been blog post OH WELL TOO LATE NOW
