Archery this afternoon in the sunshine. Didn't shoot too well. Still had fun.

The kid habitually has a very high elbow when he draws. Might have to work on that.
They are very keen to move up in draw weight as soon as they can, but I want to be sure they've got decent alignment and are using the right muscles first. Don't want them to injure themselves.
A hot day for stabbing-at-a-distance today, with thunderstorms building in the distance.
Thanks to having visitors/spectators (my mum & wife) I actually got some photos of myself today, which is usually not possible.
I didn't shoot my absolute best today, but did well enough that the coach said I should move up from 30 metres to 40 metres next time.

Born without arms, Sheetal Devi learned to shoot with her feet. She's now a world champion
Growing up in Jammu and Kashmir to a humble farmer family, Devi's father says she found her own way to do everything — including learning to shoot a bow with astonishing precision.
So, first positive thing from my few days of absence:
I actually went giving that archery thing a try. As expected my shoulders ache, but all in all it was...more successful than I expected. I think I'll take their bigger "beginners' course" in the near future.
I actually managed to hit balloons and stuff. I didn't expect that, I thought that I could consider myself happy if I even shot into the right direction. 😁😅
This weekend I bought my first bow, and setup a little archery practice area in my garage.
