MILANO (ITALPRESS) – La Cina stravince il medagliere dei Giochi Paralimpici di Milano Cortina 2026 con le sue 15 medaglie d'oro, che assieme alle 13 d'argento e alle 16 di bronzo fanno 44 podi totali nella manifestazione che va in archivio quest'oggi. Il maggior numero di successi arriva dal biathlon, sport dove sono addirittura otto i gradini più alti del podio, tre dei quali firmati da Cai Jiayun, fondista e biatleta, che sarà anche portabandiera nella cerimonia di chiusura assieme alla giocatrice di curling Wang Meng, oro nel doppio misto. Il totale dei podi nel biathlon è invece di 15, due in più di quelli arrivati dallo sci di fondo, disciplina seconda anche per numero di ori (3). Sette, invece, le medaglie dello sci alpino, una in più rispetto allo snowboard. MILAN (ITALPRESS) – China tops the medal table at the Milan Cortina 2026 Paralympic Games with 15 gold medals, alongside 13 silver and 16 bronze, totaling 44 podiums in the games, which concluded today. The most successes came from biathlon, where eight of the top steps of the podium were secured, three of which were achieved by Cai Jiayun, a cross-country skier and biathlete, who will also be the flag bearer in the closing ceremony alongside curling player Wang Meng, gold in mixed doubles. The total number of biathlon podiums is instead 15, two more than those achieved by cross-country skiing, which was also second in terms of gold medals (3). Seven medals were awarded in alpine skiing, one more than in snowboarding. Straordinario Giacomo Bertagnolli. L’atleta italiano, con la guida Andrea Ravelli, ha conquistato la medaglia d’oro nello slalom paralimpico di Cortina d’Ampezzo. Per l’azzurro è il quinto podio in cinque gare in queste Paralimpiadi di Milano–Cortina 2026, ma è soprattutto il secondo oro vinto. Sale a 13 il conto delle sue medaglie paralimpiche in carriera. Per l’Italia è il 16esimo podio: gli azzurri continuano a migliorarsi.
“Cinque su cinque: è un miracolo. Questa è la più bella, la più combattuta e quella a cui tenevamo di più”. Così – emozionatissimo – Giacomo Bertagnolli commenta la vittoria nella medaglia d’oro nello slalom ipovedenti. “Per me è un nuovo record, sono a 13 medaglie su 15 gare totali ai Giochi Paralimpici. Con 6 ori ho battuto un altro record, sono contento e non posso dire nient’altro”, ha aggiunto l’atleta azzurro. Soddisfatto anche la guida Andrea Ravelli: “Questa è stata la medaglia più consapevole, nella seconda manche l’ho vista diverso. Non ha mai fatto una prova mentalmente così come oggi in questa seconda manche”.
