Jimmy White's 2: Cueball.

Imagine 2 very detailed rooms.

1 is like a Billiards Room from a Country Manor House.

The other is like an American Bar.

This game gives you these rooms, & lets you play, amongst other things, Snooker & Pool respectively.

Sometimes, it's nice not to destroy the world for a change. 😅

The Masters tournament is on but this is also a tribute to #ArcherMaclean. RIP
Another eBay bargain added to my collection. Re-acquiring my favourite game that #ArcherMaclean (RIP) developed, *Pool Paradise!* 🎱🏝️

Sad to hear of Archer Maclean's passing. I played hours of IK+ and his snooker/pool games on the ST and still enjoy a spot of Dropzone from time to time.

I just learned that Archer MacLean passed away at the age of 60 on December 24.

He had developed many great games including International Karate + which I loved. I had a lot of fun on the Atari ST version with my brother and my friends 😀

Thanks to him and may his soul rest in peace 🙏

Having a go of one of my old faves on my #Amiga, the classic #IK+ by #ArcherMaclean who sadly died on Christmas Eve.

RIP Archer Maclean. Uno dei veri pionieri dei videogiochi.

RIP Mr Archer MacLean. Many happy hours playing IK+ and Jimmy Whites on my Amiga. You brought us some great gaming memories. Sad news indeed. #retrogaming #retrocomputing #archermaclean #amiga

Stunned to wake up to the news of Archer Maclean passing away.

He was one of a handful of legendary programmers back in the early/mid 80s that inspired me to get into this crazy business. “Dropzone” showed the way for super smooth and addictive shoot’em ups on the C64/atari. I played “International Karate” obsessively (the incredible Rob Hubbard soundtrack didn’t hurt).. then “IK+” on the Amiga.. and his snooker & pool games were ridiculously slick and fun.

Some of my fondest memories are of me and my good mate coding away on an Amiga game in the early 90s which was a totally original and inspired idea: IK+ but with FOUR players. We even ripped the fighter sprites from “IK+”. It was called “The Way of the Hubba”… one day I’ll have to see if I can retrieve it.

RIP Archer

“Terribly sad news about the recent passing of Archer Maclean. He made some truly sensational games, from IK+ to Archer Maclean's Pool, and used to write wonderful columns for the magazine. Our thoughts go out to all his friends and family.”
