'Convergence of threats' rolls off the tongue.

"When I spoke with #AndreasBüttner, the #antisemitismcommissioner for #Brandenburg, a #German state, the official tasked with combating #antisemitism and safeguarding #Jewish life, he was still processing the fact that someone had set fire to an outbuilding on his residential property while his family slept inside. The attackers left a red #Hamas triangle behind.

For Jewish readers, that detail stands on its own. Büttner had already been targeted months earlier. His car was vandalized with #swastikas and other far-right symbols. The escalation was not a shift in ideology but a convergence of threats. Different extremist languages, the same conclusion."

Glad things aren't getting too extreme. 😬

"A property belonging to the #antisemitismcommissioner for the #German state of #Brandenburg was targeted in a suspected #arson attack on Sunday.

#AndreasBüttner, the state’s commissioner of combatting #antisemitism, wrote in a post on X that his family was home at the time of the attack, which targeted a shed on his property in #Templin, a small town in Brandenburg. He said that no one was injured during the attack.

“This attack represents a massive escalation,” wrote Büttner. “It is directed against me personally, against my family, and against my home. At the same time, it is an expression of hatred and intimidation. I will not be intimidated by this.”

An inverted #redtriangle, a symbol #Hamas uses to mark its targets in #propaganda videos, was also spray-painted on the front door of a house adjacent to the shed."
