I didn't know much about Anna Kavan before reading "Ice". This is quite the bio.
Forced myself through this one. Lacking in any memorable characters imo. No dialogue worth mentioning. Choppy. Not my kinda kebab. Feel free to disagree.

The Penguin Classics edition has an informative Afterword by Kate Zambreno.
Ice reads like a dream or nightmare. If you need more apocalypse, this might be for you. Instead of getting fried by global warming, the glaciers are advancing and killing everyone. Evidently, global disaster brings out the worst in people. Let's hope this isn't true.
