'm imagining that while nat's learning about gravity or smth she looks up at betsy and says
"miss betsy, was mum any good at physics?"
and betsy sort of waggles her finger and says " your mum was valedictorian of her class and got a whole phd in physics. i was always so jealous of her test scores."
and then natalie looks down at her doodles, a little disappointed, before betsy follows up with
"but ho, whenever ava wanted to see a movie, she'd always ask to cheat off of me the day before. your mother loved goofing off just as much as you, but that didn't make her any less talented. i'm sure she'd be scribbling in this class, too."
