Andricus coriarius? (fam. Cynipidae)

[ES] Por si la agalla en sí no fuera lo bastante curiosa, enicma tiene esas pústulas rojizas, supongo que de algún hongo. Encontrada sobre un rebollo (Quercus pyrenaica).

[EN] The form of this gall captured my attention and then I saw the curious red scabs on its surface, maybe from a fungus? Found in an oak (Quercus pyrenaica).

This was not what I was expecting to emerge from the #Andricus quercuspetiolicola #gall I collected this summer. Instead of a gall #wasp I got a #fly with lots of dorsal body scales and very hairy wings! I suspect it's a #Cecidomyiidae or similar. Perhaps a secondary resident of the gall? #insects #FaunaOfManitoba #diptera
