A little surprised that I'm the only one talking about #aera2024 on mastodon as best I can tell. It's an enormous conference, 15,000 attendees or so, I think.

One of the frustrating things at #aera2024 is that I know there are so many smart and thoughtful people here, and it's hard to hear them.
At #aera2024. The program is insane. There are over 100 sessions in the next time slot and each session typically has four or five papers. It's very difficult to work out what to attend. And the online interface is marginal at best. The app is actually worse than the online interface since it doesn't allow you to filter by time.
