BARBER Adagio for Strings
In Saturn's RingsWe've been offline as producer Marie Stone recovers from knee surgery. Major music news. First, as of 10/1 thanks to donor/volunteer Mike Malaska, our recording of "Adagio for Strings" ifs officially licensed in perpetuity with no restrictions. Secondly, the rest of the music will be an original score from Pieter Schlosser who composed the opening track and will write new music for the Director's Cut (Q1 2025).

In our continuing celebration of "Adagio for Strings", more pics from the recording. Here the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra string section supplemented by many other area string players are conducted by Dmitry Sitkovetsky. The three large microphones are the "left", "right" and "center" as we recorded this in 5.1 surround sound, the only true 5.1 recording of this music we know of.

BIG NEWS! We are so pleased to announce thanks to the deep generosity @mike_malaska one of our original volunteers and donors, we have secured the license to "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber, for all media, in perpetuity. The license had lapsed prior to us getting the rights back last month and was a major problem for rebooting distribution. Effective Oct 1st, that battle is over. In recognition for this, he will be officially added to the opening titles.
