Up to 8,000 litres of diesel fuel has spilled into the water at an open-net pen salmon farm south of Zeballos, B.C. According to provincial incident reports, the spill was caused by "human error during fuel transfer" on a floating concrete platform.

To my fellow nature photographers, amateurs and pros: please do not get in the way of the people trying to rescue the stranded young orca in Zeballos. Stay away from that area. This is not the time to get your ''orca shots''.

A boat with ''people taking photos'' of the orca has been observed in the lagoon. Not sure if they are part of the rescue team or selfish photographers.

Hoping for the best with the rescue efforts.
