The surviving elements of the late 1970s Garnethill Mural Project established by the artist John Kraska, who died earlier this week. This was one of the first community-based projects in Glasgow to create murals on exposed gable ends of the city's tenements as part of a scheme to improve the local environment.

Another great mural brightening up an otherwise rather dull orphaned gable end in Govan in Glasgow. By artist KMG, it was inspired by the themes of family and migration.

It is part of the GRID (Glasgow Riverside Innovation District) project from Yardworks which aims to unite and inspire the areas of Yorhill, Partick and Govan using public art.
