Love these little bits of ceramic street art on various walls around the Garnethill area of Glasgow. They were put up as part of the St Aloysius College COP26 Sculpture Trail. This is the website the QR code in the photo links to: https://agh215.wixsite.com/cop26trail/observations-of-garnethill.

This is a brilliant piece of street art I came across on Scott Street in the Garnethill areq of Glasgow. Using the Artivive app on a smart phone, you can make it come to life. The piece is by Lenny and Whale, and is a reminder that peace starts with us.

The rather brilliantly named Normal School for the Training of Teachers in Garnethill in Glasgow. Designed by D and J Hamilton and built in 1837, it was the first institution in Britain specifically set up to train professional teachers.

The rear elevation of St Aloysius Church in the Garnethill area of Glasgow. Designed in a neo-baroque style by C.J. Menart, it was built in 1908. I've always found this view of it rather interesting because of its complexity and because of its complete lack of windows.

Since this time, similar community-based projects have been carried out across Glasgow, and indeed continue to this day.

The surviving elements of the late 1970s Garnethill Mural Project established by the artist John Kraska, who died earlier this week. This was one of the first community-based projects in Glasgow to create murals on exposed gable ends of the city's tenements as part of a scheme to improve the local environment.

What I'm presuming is an original, and rather beautiful, acid-etched window design on the former Garnethill branch of the Glasgow Savings Bank on New City Road. It was created by Neil C. Duff and was built in 1909.
