[Full movie] American Yakuza (1993), Viggo Mortensen

The news that in February Arrow are going to release a Blu-Ray of this (IMHO) better-than-average-for-low-budget-action flick reminded me it is currently on free streaming at Fawesome (at least, it is for me in Mexico; apparently also on Roku, Plex, Pluto, Hoopla etc in US).

Also, I never knew it was part of Toei’s V-Cinema venture into the US VHS market, as I saw it in the cinema in the UK in 1994. I even got the cinema to give me the “life-size” promotional cardboard cutout once its run ended. (Long gone in a move.) Also, it had been so long since I last saw that I’d forgotten it also had Michael Nouri and Robert Forster.

yesterday i was fucking around in pcsx2 and i figured out how to extract assets from ps2 games and import them to blender. im shocked how easy it actually was. look at beautiful ps2 kamurocho!!!

RGG Studios is about to delist Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1 and Kiwami 2 and replacing them with what they consider the true definitive versions. That's a nasty hit to video game preservation. Reports are that the story additions to Yakuza 0 diminish important emotional beats. If you've ever been interested in the Yakuza franchise, you have until december 8th to get your hands on the original version of 0 (considered to be the best Yakuza game).
