wacek/arise
A musician and coder on the Commodore 64, and a veteran of the Polish techno scene – he debuted on both 30+ years ago. He produces and plays full-spectrum electronic music in the club space, from chilling ambient to dancefloor-shaking drum'n'bass. For several years now, he's also been performing live acts built around his own remixes of 8-bit music and demoscene tracks. Either way, whatever is playing, the foot moves on its own. I keep jamming on those Amigas, making those mods, and just putting stuff out—on vinyl, cassette, online. I’m not on Spotify, doesn’t really speak to me. I lay low when I can, but still end up spamming those Instagram stories. Who knows why! Sometimes I run a workshop or two, talk a bit about what I do in my spare time. But I gotta admit—what I love most is telling stories and writing fairy tales. Lately it’s been more poetry, but yeah, still fairy tales. I like people, and I’ve been slowing down for a while now. I wish the same for everyone—slow down. Thanks for having me again.
