I didn't know what to expect when I started watching #CarolAndTheEndOfTheWorld but I'm glad I did. The art is beautiful (esp the art of the title cards for the lost & found ep) and its so thoughtfully written.
At the end, I realised it was exploring something I always thought about: "Is there meaning in the mundane?"
There is this expectation that you have to achieve something great in life...
Yes, I watched #PokemonConcierge. Yes I am also sad that its only 4 eps... If you are a fan of #StopMotion & #Pokemon like I am, you will enjoy this as well!
I do like how the story isn't just about people being served by pokemon but how people can serve pokemon as well.
Also, I'm not the kind that usually fawn over cute stuff but something about seeing stop motion pkmn being petted + hugged fills my heart with such warmth that I couldn't help but go "awww" 🥺🥺🥺
( I guess theme-wise this is somewhat related to Kiki's delivery service lol)
Just finished "Castaway Diva" & besides the cute + touching romance, I liked the overall message of doing something because you love it. You may have alot of worries about the future but when you realise life is short, isn't it better to try for the thing you love than not at all?
Finally watched Kiki's delivery service and I can see why ppl saw this as a story about burn out. I can def relate to Kiki's discouragement.
I teared up at the end when, at Kiki's lowest point, she experiences the kindness of ppl (from the old lady to the ppl cheering her on)
The movie also made me think about the human behind the labor (esp creative)...
Went on a solo trip to the movies and watched “The boy and the heron”
As usual, the animation and background art is beautiful. Was especially drawn to the movie cause of the bird character so that didn’t disappoint lol
My fav characters were the obachans and the parakeets lol
I watched #TheFallOfTheHouseOfUsher & I love it! Def better than expected! This is such a love story to #EdgarAllanPoe. All I want to do now is nerd out and word vomit all the stories the show took inspiration from!
To be clear, I’m no Edgar Allan Poe expert (I only watched the playthrough of “The dark eye”, have a book of some of his stories & read about a lot of his work on wiki lmao) but imo, I do think the series captured the essence of his stories esp psychological horror
Its official. "The Oblongs" has become my comfort show while I work on my art lol
Recently rediscovered the show and I'm a little sad there were so little eps of the show
(I watched it on youtube when I was maybe 19-ish? idk)
I like the show even tho cheap shots are made here and there (esp against the fat character? I found it abit much tbh lol)
Maybe I just like anything that feat. the VA of Pajama sam lmao
Also to add on (because I forgot yesterday),
I thought the movie presented an interesting semi-meta premise: What does it mean to be Spiderman? Is it solely because of the canon events (hard times do shape who you are)? or is it possible to go beyond that (basically, break the canon) and still retain Spiderman's essence?
What makes Spiderman, Spiderman?

Just came back from watching #AcrossTheSpiderverse and omg... the hype is REAL
The animation was amazing and took the comic book concept even further!
It was so cool seeing the different art styles interacting together and the execution was of such high quality. It gave me the "Who framed roger rabbit" feels (which is great cause that is one of my fav movies)
Also, all the spidey character designs were all so inspired!
