Oof. I've had a very short night and a long day. If my body had a battery it would be blinking red at 7% charge.
But there nothing for it. I'll try to get another hour of writing in, with the amazing Wheel of Time soundtrack keeping me company and fueling my brain :)
How to give yourself a nice surprise:
Step 1 - Go out during the day and buy cake.
Step 2 - Totally forget about cake when you get home.
Step 3 - In the evening, sit down to write, suddenly remember cake
Step 4 - Now you can have cake while you write yaaaaaay

It's #Nanowrimo2024 and despite some of the ups and downs it's had this year, including their somewhat questionable stance on AI-generated writing, I'm still participating because I'm in it for me.
This year's novel is a brand new piece based on some ideas I hashed out with my good friend, Josh. It's a story about the cost of magic and how it might affect a society when that cost becomes too high.
