Also, take a look at the USA in the last chart. Look closely at the numbers. There are 3 bars, but only two of them have numbers, and those numbers add to 100%. That's right. The share of the bottom 50% of people, ranked by income, ROUNDS TO ZERO. No other country does that worse than the good ol' USA.

Gives a whole new meaning to, "Stop the steal!" doesn't it?

Kürzlich las ich im Internet das Stichwort „Weltungleichheitsbericht“. War das Satire oder Wirklichkeit? Leider Letzteres – es gibt diesen Bericht. Im Dezember 2017 wurde der erste World Inequality Report als Ergebnis einer Fachtagung über World Wealth and Income Database (WID) an der Pariser Wirtschaftsschule veröffentlicht. Autoren waren u.a. die international bekannten Wirtschaftswissenschaftler Thomas Piketty, Emmanuel Saez und Gabriel Zucman.
