I find it so damn hard to explain my autistic needs. I have a hard time figuring them out myself. For four decades I had to hide them, even from myself, learned to just power through so many things. Advocating for myself and educating allistic people around me (especially at work) is a huge challenge for me.

Yesterday was #WorldAutismAcceptanceDay. Have I found life easier since my diagnosis 5 years ago? Not really. I have accepted who I am. I am no longer fighting against a list of possible reasons why life is a struggle, it's because I'm autistic. Next task, stop comparing myself to others and live.
