They are often overlooked, but these little creatures play an important role in breaking down dead plant material and enriching the soil. Fun fact: they are not insects, but actually terrestrial crustaceans, more closely related to crabs and shrimp! A true garden helper.

Vaak worden ze over het hoofd gezien, maar deze kleine diertjes spelen een belangrijke rol bij het afbreken van dood plantaardig materiaal en het verrijken van de bodem. Wist je dat dit eigenlijk geen insecten zijn, maar landkreeftachtigen, verwant aan krabben en garnalen? Een echte tuinhelper!
