So my neighbors let me gank their pile of branches, used it to hold some raked leaves in place to help improve the soil conditions for spring (there's some kitchen scraps in there too) and had an idea for vine supports for the spring. In the meantime, my new row of decorative trees needs lights.
P.S. just ordered gardening wire and glow in the dark pony beads to start doing stuff with found objects for decorations.
@tippitiwichet Thank you for improving the soil. The branches and leaves are going to help. Other leaves will join them. Gardeners around the world have fun names for the branches and leaves as a row of food for the soil. #compost, #hugelkultur, #deadhedges, #Vermiculture, #woodlouse.
@Pollinators Just you wait. Give me two years. Just you wait until you see this space turn into a little meadow in the middle of the trailer park by the railroad tracks. I mean I have 100% thought multiple times, "Pollinators is gonna love this shit". I'm gonna make this clay packed soil something your feet sink into with food and SO MANY FLOWERS. Also, stones and moss filled microhabitats are beginning.
@tippitiwichet Excellent! You are not alone.
@Pollinators Well I guess admitting that I should also be thanking you for the encouragement thus far :)
