I love it when the community does what the #developers / #publishers of #software / #games won't.
Here's an example I ran into last night while figuring out why #Popcap / #EA's #Bejeweled3 claimed I didn't have enough video memory: https://github.com/cheez3d/popcap-patches

#Cheez3d for example patched the executables to remove the signature, memory and hardware acceleration checks.

A better solution ended up being to drop in the #DirectDraw DLL ddraw.dll from the #WineD3D project though:
