#Windows #LTSB / #LTSC - which was only offered to #Enterprise #VolumeLicense|es, and also only covered 5 years from day of release (last version AFAIK was like 2023).
With #UbuntuLTS & #UbuntuPro subscription, you get 10 years of support from the manufacturer for the price of a shady #Windows10LTSB / #Windows10LTSC key and you don't even need one for the first 5 years unless you want #ESM features and #UbuntuAdvantage for #SystemManagment...
Plus unlike #Microsoft @ubuntu doesn't force you to send them any data of yours just to use a system or make an accoubt with them!
JonathanTrying to install #Windows10LTSC on my #Asus #VivoBook, but can't get any audio output from Narrator (only with an external USB soundcard) and it can't find any drive to install on. I guess I need to get some drivers, but I have no idea about that stuff, where, how, and what? I hope someone can help. Boost appreciated.

OTOH I ran Ubuntu 25.04 on my sons' W11, and OMG it flies! And that's off live-usb! W11 was painfully slow, don't see how they endure it without popping qualudes!

Buff Dinosaur FriendshipFrustrated with windows native notifs on Gajim, I tried out CoyIM and Pidgin and also took a look at PSI, UWPX, and Psi. Then frustrated with encryption on Pidgin, I ended up trying Dino, which has the same notifications issue. And now I'm back on Gajim again, notifications be damned! The UI is good, there are slightly more settings, and it works more like I expect it to, at the end of the day. In fact, there were messages I couldn't see on Dino that I saw on Gajim (welp).
