1) IMO, it's a good thing for both the Chinese people and for the world as a whole that China has risen from the depths into a country with a low rate of extreme poverty over the last 30 years.
2) US companies are required to do what the US government asks, sometimes by court order, and sometimes by off-the-books political pressure. It's the nature of all governments.
3) You are welcome to your opinion. MY opinion is that #WinWinGlobalTrade is always best for all parties involved.

@zdl - We'll see. The opinion of semiconductor experts is that it will be even longer than that. ASML has technology way beyond ANY other company, AND they are advancing fast. It is one (HUGE) thing to replicate where ASML is now in 2022, and yet another to reach more or less parity with their ongoing advances.
