@Dialektgefahr Du solltest dem #winboat Windows wenigstens 4GB zusichern. Besser wären 8. Aber ganz ehrlich, einfach ausprobieren. Die Installation dauert nicht lange und wenn es nicht passt, löschen und mit Windows 10 versuchen. Hostet ja nix, außer etwas Zeit 😆

#Linux #Mint immer für spannende Erkenntnisse gut.

Heute funktioniert Dual Boot nicht mehr. Entweder startet Windows nicht mehr oder man landet direkt im Bios.

Der Bootloader konnte fix repariert werden, es läuft wieder.

Was lerne ich?
1.) Ohne Windows wäre das nicht passiert.
2.) Ich muss #WinBoat erlernen.

@nikomat Ich konnte das sehr schnell beheben. Aber nicht jeder traut sich alles zu. Und "Ja": Hab' hier schon viel Hilfe bekommen. #Mint ist unterm Strich super und vor allem stabil. Nächster großer Schritt wird #WinBoat sein, um von der Dual Boot Lösung wegzukommen.

@lieberal you can always do the reverse WSL (run windows vm inside linux host) if you need the windows apps wine doesn't support. Not sure where I found it but there's even now containerizarion tooling to make that easier/seamless though I haven't personally tried it with #winapps or the potentially easier #winboat . If you try one of those let me know, its on my todo list to explore.

@Harald das habe ich auch vor. Mein Acer sei nicht für #Win11 geeignet.

Ansonsten finde ich mich in #Linux #Mint überraschend gut zurecht. #WinBoat habe ich auch installiert, demnächst schaue ich mal, wie man das gestartet bekommt und benutzt. Bin sehr überrascht, wie schnell #linuxmint vom Test- zu einer Produktivumgebung im Haushalt geworden ist, und Windows nur noch für zwei Lexwareanwendungen benötigt wird. Auch der Umstieg von #Microsoft #Office zu #libreoffice klappte. Aufwändig aber erfolgreich war auch der Umstieg auf #Thunderbird. 2x
