Willy DeVille, "Across the Borderline" (1999, live in studio "2 Meter Sessions", 1999)

The song was first released by Freddy Fender in 1982 (from the soundtrack to "The Border"), and covered by Willie Nelson in 1993 (as well as by other musicians, such as Tejano accordionist Flaco Jimenez). But there's a reason Willy DeVille and his band are pleased with their version.
