Mink DeVille should have been much more popular than they were. Willy DeVille's soulful voice, and the band's passionate, intimate songs always give me the chills.
Their cause can't have been helped when Capitol Records refused to release this, their third album, in the US, until the volume of imports from Europe forced them to reconsider.
