Mit Verlaub, die Geschichte dieses Home-Invasion-Klassikers dürfen Sie durchaus unterkomplex nennen. Im Grunde ist das ein Genre, das nicht von einem gut ausgedachten Handlungsfaden lebt, sondern fast ausschließlich von glaubhaften Figuren. Am Ende geht es ja nur darum, dass ein Publikum sich mit den Menschen identifizieren kann, die es auf der Leinwand sieht. Oder aber für die Schauspieler:innen ins Kino geht, die es bereits kennt – um zu erleben, wie die mit der Situation klarkommen. Und weil das hier Jodie Foster und Kristen Stewart sind, werde ich den Film auch fast 25 Jahre später und nach ungezählten Wiederholungen sicher nicht verpassen. (ZDF, Wh.)
