I'd like to thank the previous reader of a Toronto Public Library copy of Parker J. Palmer's book "Let Your Life Speak" for leaving pencil markings on almost every page. They gave me a meditative hour spent with an eraser (latex-free: I'm no monster) and a dusting brush, gently unguiding the next reader of the book.
The cat wants to eat the cat food, but only when one of us is in the kitchen (where her bowls are). She can be completely snoozing somewhere, but if I go to the kitchen, she LEAPS up to go in there as well. My husband can be in an entirely different room, but if she hears him going to the kitchen ... LEAP. The food is always there, but for her it's no fun to eat it unless one of us is there. Weird? Or Common?
