Because it’s a film series that’s, one, directed and starred by Wu Jing whom I’ve been a fan of since childhood; and two, appears to prove my “#Hollywood #WhiteSaviorComplex” theory. It’s entertainment when Hollywood makes a film about saving the world from alien invaders, zombie apocalypses, or the Third Reich. It’s propaganda when literally any other country does it.

Not saying we should ignore suffering. But people are portrayed in a dehumanising & racist way. Imho these ads are symptomatic of the various recent scandals. Yet they keep doing it, which means there’s very little accountability.
