I'm engaged in a conversation about Huawei and China's trade surplus over in YouTube comments.

I just dropped this, It's sure to be popular.

"We can disagree on that. My view is that any country running a trade surplus of greater than 1% of GDP is acting in bad faith and should be taxes on the surplus above 1%. Keynes proposed a tax of high surplus countries, to fund the future UN's development programs, as part of Bretton Woods in 1944. The US rejected it."

“the dirty neck that sticks itself in must be cut off.”

This is what #China's Consul General in #Osaka Xue Jian (薛劍) posted on X as a reaction to Japanese Prime Minister #SanaeTakaichi suggesting that Tokyo could take military action if Beijing attacked #Taiwan.

That was a death threat uttered by a #diplomat on #socialmedia.

That Consul General should be declared a persona non grata and be escorted to the airport right away.

Extracts below of 4 pertinent paragraphs:

Why #WolfWarrior? Because it’s a film series that’s, one, directed and starred by Wu Jing whom I’ve been a fan of since childhood; and two, appears to prove my “#Hollywood #WhiteSaviorComplex” theory. It’s entertainment when Hollywood makes a film about saving the world from alien invaders, zombie apocalypses, or the Third Reich. It’s propaganda when literally any other country does it.

ScoMo's bullshit about #China was so spectacularly counter productive that I often wondered whose side he was on. Were they paying him under the table as a professional wolf warrior punching bag? Or is he really just that much of an idiot?
