I am most definitely going to make more of this Pilsner Urquell recipe as soon as I have time. Need to keep a solid pipeline of this. Way too drinkable. Particularly poured from a Lukr faucet. And I’m not sharing with anyone :)
Very interesting that this Floor Malted is more pale than the Bohemian malt.

Boil boil toil and trouble
Decoction action making Pilsner Urquell #1 - with Weyermann Bohemian Pilsner Malt. Tomorrow is the same recipe but using the Floor Malted.
Long days with so many decoction steps and rests followed by a 2 hour boil. But tradition is worth it. The last time I made this (which was my first try) it turned out absolutely amazing.

Ordered another 25kg bag of Weyermann Bohemian Pilsner malt and the brew shop called to tell me that they have the floor-malted Bohemian Pilsner because someone else cancelled an order.
I’m going to need to do duplicate brews with the regular and floor-malted so I can compare. Have just enough of the regular malt for one more brew.
