This week’s Short Stack:
• collaborative music
• creative shortcuts
• tension on screen
• dread on the page
Not a recap. Just what lingered long enough to write down.

Each week, I pull together a short stack of the things that stood out -- something I made, something I read or watched, an experience that left a small but noticeable impression in the week. Not a grand unifying theme, not a comprehensive recap. Just the bits that felt worth
Weeks like this remind me:
- You don’t need a big launch every week to be moving forward.
- New role. New home on Monday. New routines settling in.
- Grateful — and ready for what’s next.
This week’s Short Stack is up, and it's about catching up. Catching up after the winter break, some of the critically-acclaimed films of 2025, and our favorite medical drama.
Just the bits that felt worth pocketing before the week slipped away.

This week’s Short Stack is up, and it's all about books.
Comic book postcards. A New Year's Eve visit to the book store. Keeping the MacBook lid closed. And closing the literal book on 2025.
Just the bits that felt worth pocketing before the week slipped away.

This week’s Short Stack is up.
Blood donation. Holiday cards. Reading goals. And applesauce > everything else.
Just the bits that felt worth pocketing before the week slipped away.

This week has stretched me in different ways. I had appointments for the reports the NDIS has asked for and it left me with that familiar sense of nothing ever being enough no matter how much I give. It is draining and exhausting.
My music director has sent through lists of psalms hymns and anthems for the rest of the year. I have been sorting through them to work out what I still need. There is a rhythm in that task that gives me focus and connection even when life feels unsettled.
I have also been thinking about my future, about the kind of work I can manage, and the importance of remote options. On top of that I have been contributing to an online autism event coming up in two weeks, helping with editing documentation. Today was church and it was good. Even though I have deconstructed many parts of faith I still love the ritual and traditions. The music the readings and the flow of the service bring meaning in a way that feels grounding.
Now it is time to slow down. Lunch was a curry pie warm and rich. Dinner will be sausages chips and baked vegies. A simple ending to a demanding week with space to reflect and breathe.
