On the rails again… #Interrail #CrossBorderRail

Today I’m on an unexpectedly early Renfe S100 to Lyon Part Dieu.

Unexpectedly early because I was expecting to take the 09:28 TGV InOui to Paris today, but I decided that it was better to get on an earlier train to have more chance of recovering later, as there was an extreme weather warning #Weewoo last night.

The train left on time, though.

And whilst this is a Renfe-Branded AVE S100, it is actually a modified Alstom-CAF TGV that was specially built for running on Spanish rails. I will be taking an actual TGV to Paris later (touch melamine) and will then be taking a Eurostar red-branded TGV to Amsterdam. As such, I declare it to be #TGVThursday and am listening to an appropriate Synthwave playlist on the trains.

I was booked onto a single seat, but a conductor has told me I can take the double table instead, as the train is not running full
