The p500 pre-order for A Gest of Robin Hood by #GMTGames is charging soon. Get your order in. Methinks it will sell out. It’s an excellent and thematic 2–player hour long game.

Rodney of #watchitplayed has done an excellent teaching video for the #boardgame. It’s a thorough teaching video that is longer than it takes to play the game!

It was nice to get a shoutout, along with a bunch of other more talented folks, in the Playbook. Cheers Fred and to all who contributed to another great game.

#boardgame Nostalgie!

Been watching way too many Watch it Played and SU&SD videos lately—really need to set aside time to play (and maybe design) some board/card/tabletop games. 😅

@Kerpob @grumpytrilobite

Watch it played did a full tutorial video for 1st Edition, which again has minor differences.

@BigBurnum #Wingspan is good. I'd recommend Rodney Smith's #WatchItPlayed video on #BoardGameGeek. He explains the rules very clearly.

Wingspan - How To Play

Video for Wingspan

@grissallia Don't be embarrassed. Those are good games. I'm personally rubbish at chess (poor visuospatial forward planning) although I respect it. I overplayed Trivial Pursuit) in 1980s but I still play Backgammon and word games. However there's a wide range of modern #BoardGames now with many different themes and ways to play. Don't be embarrassed. I only discovered them in my early 50s (I'm now in mid 60s). There's a wonderful site on #BoardGames called #BoardGameGeek or #BGG www.boardgamegeek.com. People there will suggest many "gateway" games (games to start with) to try. (Stick to games with a 'heaviness' or complexity rating under 2.0 or 2.5 on BGG at first.) As well, there are many instruction videos there explaining rules which help a lot. (I especially recommend #WatchItPlayed by Rodney Smith, his explanations are very clear.
